CHESS COACHING

I feel blessed to have found the game of chess. It has given me so much and, I admit taken much from me. It is the game of kings and the king of games. It brings people together and it tears people apart. It brings great joy and deep sorrow. Though the pieces and the squares are black and white the game itself is full of colour, character and deep history. To learn chess is to improve your mind and enrich your soul. The younger you start, the better you should become.

I am an English Chess Federation Accredited Coach, and offer a chess coaching service for individuals and groups. MANAGEMENT PRESENTATIONS

I have spent many years listening to management presentations. Being subjected to 'death by powerpoint' isn't fun and often not very educational either.Examining the trees outside of the window can often apppear to be an infinitely more valuable use of time than looking at paradigms, global strategy, benchmarking tools and financial projections.

Welcome then to MY world. I do understand that you want a presentation with a difference and I can tailor any of my talks for you as follows:

I have experience in Change Management, government Secretariat, Business Continuity, Warehouse Management, Trade Union relations, Audit and Health and Safety and you won't be surprised to know that I have much to say on those subjects too.

Mainly however I sincerely believe that businesses lose bucket loads of money in terms of staff turnover and customers because they don't (or won't) address the issue of EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT. NATURAL HISTORY LECTURES

You are in the jungle. Suddenly a snake approaches. It is red and yellow and black. Is it poisonous or not? How would you know? A spider just bit you. The beast is the size of your palm an the wound is deep. Is it poisonous? Will you die? You have no water and you are in danger of passing out. How will plants help you? Which plants will kill you? Why will a lawyer vine hold your attention? Which animal has killed more humans than any other? What can we learn from insects?

Natural History has so much to offer and I am passionate about it. Having bred the world's largest species of spiders, scorpions and other incredible animals over the years I know the value of passing on knowledge to other poeple - children especially - who grow up inheriting the prejudices of their friends, peers, the media and indeed parents.

I offer fantastic (people tell me so!) natural history lectures that are guaranteed to be a hit with the audience. I offer a bespoke lecture plus I will bring a variety of different animals with me for the audience to photograph or even hold if they feel brave enough to. I have helped many people overcome phobias and they have gone on to have much better lives for it.

I have lectured in schools and for other institutes and appeared at the Annual Cryptozoological 'Weird Weekend' in Devon in 2010 to talk about my search for the legendary whistling spiders of Australia.

I am the author of 'FANGS FOR THE MEMORIES, the search for tarantulas in Ecuador' and 'A DAINTREE DIARY, tales from travels to the Daintree Rainforest in Tropical North Queensland, Australia'. I have appeared on radio and television in the UK and Germany and I am a former committee member of the British Tarantula Society.

I am way ahead of the anoraks, owning as I do a graduate diploma in sexing juvenile theraphosids (spiders).

I can do portraits of humans and animals and a wealth of other subjects. I will tailor photographs according to your requirements or you can simply leave it to me. I enjoy the opportunity to be creative whilst ensuring that you get the result that you are looking for. I believe that whilst photography is a very serious business at times (people rely on the outcome) it is also immense fun and this is the way I like to approach the subject.
